All Daniel Riverton wanted was peace and quiet. Playing family was not part of his confirmed bachelor plans. Unfortunately, when his lovely upstairs neighbor,Trixie Marsh, needed his help with her mischievous twin nieces, how can he not help?
In a nutshell, this was a sweet piece of fluff reading. Since I'm a big fan of these, I liked it. For others, you might find this story lacked depth. If you are still interested, continue on to read why this story deserves a chance. What made the story was the hero. He was the main attraction, literally and figuratively. Daniel was a man of contradiction. For example, he hated children, but was a natural with them. In one scene, he told the twins to sit in their chairs but he allowed them to climb all over him. These were my favorite scenes and you'll get plenty of it. Since it was from Daniel's perspective, Trixie and the twins were sort of an after thought in the scheme of things. The story, his change and the romance may appear to be rushed. However, considering the length, it worked for what it was. This is a clean romance.
In the end, this was not for everyone. I breezed through this book. But like I said earlier, this is a fluff piece. If you generally enjoy the Harlequin Romance line, give it a try. It was sweet, uncomplicated and has a lovely wrapped-up ending. If you are looking for something deep, hot, with oodles of drama, pass this one by.
