My Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

It was really hard to like a manga when you don’t like the “heroine.” Our heroine, Kaga Kouko, slapped her way into the first chapter with a flare of roses. It doesn’t get too much better. She was pretty much of stalker. In the last chapter, she admits her existence is to be perfect for Tada’s friend, Mitsuo and she knows her actions makes him hate her. I know she is going to be one of those characters who have “depth” later in the series, but I just don’t care to find out. Unfortunately, she overshadowed everyone else. Tada Banri was really the main character. The hero was not too bad. I like the fact he can see through Kouko’s schemes and he was pretty level-headed. His backstory seems interesting and might be darker, I'm supposing. But being the typical guy, he only felt sorry for Kouko because she was pretty. The only person I get was Mitsuo but he rarely popped up. The plot was typical basic school life, with a slightly strange plot twist near the end. The art is whimsical and prettily drawn.

All in all, going by this volume, I’m definitely not going to buy the next one. It just doesn’t catch my interest. Main characters lacked personality and a slow-to-develop plot made this volume hard to get through. If you like drama, no romance, and stalker-type girls, this might work for you. For me, I’m going to pass on this series.
