All masterpieces have to had a few test runs before it became that book or movie that we all know and love. So what would these rough drafts look like? Possibly like the collection in this book. It didn't bust my sides with laughter (I guess I'm more into dirty humor than I thought) but I can guarantee that the cleverness will keep you turning the pages. Okay, not all the rewrites were my favorites but the goodies far outweighed the ho-hum. Each page is beautifully crafted to make it look like a photocopied of the original draft. Funny ideas and thoughts scratched out. The wide range of works represented means that you had to have read or seen at least two or more of them - from Pride & Prejudice to Star Wars to Shakespeare. A book lover can appreciate this.
However, I'll be honest. I would never buy this on my own accord. This is the type of book that I would read in the store or borrow from the library. It just doesn't have that factor that makes you want to pick it up and read it over and over again. A good gauge would be that if you found the cover hilarious, then this is definitely for you. So, unfortunately, despite how much I like what I read and how well presented, this just isn't a keeper. Unless you are the fan of the series, I highly recommend borrowing over buying.
