Kate Dalton’s life was falling apart, but she can’t allow the turmoil to show.  Everyone expected her to be strong.  However, a chance encounter with a masked stranger changed Kate’s life.  Caleb Landis admired Kate and wanted to help her as a friend.  But she wouldn't let her guard down around him except as the masked bandit.  Can Caleb make Kate realized he, not the bandit, would be there for her?

This was your standard Christian romance.  However, there was just a little something that made it totally addictive.  The idea of Caleb as the bandit was a delicious idea and beautifully used and integrated into the story without overwhelming the plot.  He was absolutely sweet and romantic by the different things he did for Kate.  The bandit was used just at the right moments to create just enough drama between the hero and heroine.  Since there weren’t exactly a lot of those scenes, I couldn’t wait till their next meeting.  The cast of characters were likeable and added no unneeded drama.  You don’t just get Caleb and Kate.  The main characters from ‘Doctor to the Rescue’ made a reappearance.  The plot moved at a good pace and kept you turning the pages without fail.  Even with the addition of characters from her previous book, it did not take away from the main story.  It only emphasized the bond of family and love.  The writing was well done.  The romance was subtle and sigh-worthy.  This story just worked.

Recently, I have read one romance after another and they started to blend together.  Then finally, this gem appear.  It was truly a refreshing read.  If you read ‘Doctor to the Rescue,’ I have to say this book is even better.  All I can say is that I absolutely enjoyed this romance.  The plot, lovable characters and a beautiful message made this a must read.
