This is just a plain, feel good Christmas romance. Everything just work. There was no angst. No misunderstanding. All you have are just two people who liked
each other and wanted to be together despite
their baggage. I sincerely liked Dallas and Nina. They each have their
own issues but it wasn’t harped on. Their
issues were brought up once and that was it.
Plus, they actually resolved their own personal issues with clear thinking and no
drama. And Dallas’ sons . . . I expected
them to create the friction between the two, but they really added a sweet
element to the story. Even if you don’t
like children in your romances, they were total sweethearts and didn't interfere in the relationship. And I liked fact that their
families were feuding. Total opposite of
my hated matchmaking romances. It made me what to root for them even more. There was
one obligatory love scene near the end.
But other than that, there is a just enough heat not to overwhelm the
plot.
