Making Memories by  Janet Lee Barton
3.5 out of 5 stars

Amanda Forrester left home to get away from the constant matchmaking attempts her family kept tossing at her.  However, she was did have to go home for Christmas.  What was a girl to do?  In steps her next door neighbor, Josh Randall, who offered to pretend to be her boyfriend.  But they spent more time together, can they turn their friendship into something more?

A simple and uncomplicated romance with a touch of the holiday spirit.  This novella was mostly about two neighbors realizing that they had feelings for each other but was afraid to ruin their friendship.  The hero was absolutely darling and I wished they make more men like him.  The heroine was not so bad herself, even though she was written with a lack of depth.  It was difficult to discern her true character.  Very easy, breezy read.

Dreaming of a White Christmas by  Kathleen Miller
4 out of 5 stars

Ben Callahan found Sleeping Beauty aka Casey Forrester sleeping in his father's department store window one night and couldn't keep away from her.  Casey found Ben intriguing but he was hiding something.  Will the holiday season bring them together?

Another cute story that could've been stronger if it had more pages.  Unfortunately, the plot was rushed towards the end, just to get that the requisite happy ending.  Understandably, with the length of the pages, what can you do?  Other than that, this story has a genuine plot with enough events to keep your attention and leave you believing the instantaneous attraction between the two within a short amount of time.  Great characters.  Fun plot.  If the first story was mellow, this had a little bit more oomph to make it just a bit more entertaining.   Another breezy read.

This was overall a fun anthology to read.  I don't suggest getting it right away.  It was not riveting.  However, if you need a book that does not require much thought, this is perfect.  Great for the holidays.  Make sure not to pay full price. With only two stories in large print, the MSRP is not worth it.
