Love's Winding Path
2 out of 5 stars

Dan Mallory hated peanuts and farming the peanut farm that his family owned.  Deciding to strike out on his own as a water rafting guide in Utah, Dan took his inheritance and left.  He found a job and found work he could be proud of.  But the highlight was Jolene, who manned the front desk.  But soon, dark clouds started to form in his paradise and Dan's questionable faith became tested.

I'll just say it.  I hate the hero.  No ifs, ands or buts.  In all my romance reading, I have never met a more immature, ignorant, stalkerish, pushy hero.  (I met someone like Dan in real life, and let me tell you, it was not a comfortable situation.)  Maybe it was his age or his lack of experience in life, but really . . . I don't really see his appeal until he finally learned some humility.  And even then, the ending was rushed and considering half their relationship was spent on arguing and ignoring each other, I just don't see how everything all came together.  I did like Jolene though.  She had a steady head and stood strong in her beliefs.

Heart of Mine
4 out of 5 stars

Marissa Jones had lost her fiance about a year ago and decided to move back home to finally get over her grief.  But when she went for a walk one morning, she ran into a man who looked like her deceased fiance!

What a sweet and interesting story.  If the sincerity of the main characters don't draw you in, the unique plot was enough to keep you reading.  The story kept one on their toes and didn't expect the unique twist near the end.  The romance between Marissa and Anson was believable and I like how they understood and overcame the obstacles with love and grace.  The only reason I gave this a 4 stars was because I would not read this story again.

Wasatch Love
2 out of 5 stars

Brenda Stewart's life appeared perfect except men were more interested in her money than her.  Especially James Ensley.  She knew he only using her to get the coveted VP position.  As events occurred through their rash actions and words, maybe they can find salvation together.

Despite being well written, it was a struggle to get through.  The story just made me frustrated that the same irritating mistakes kept happening over and over and there was no personal growth until the very end.  Everyone in the story had their own selfish agendas but I just couldn't put up with their attitudes.  Some people might like the story, but this book was not my cup of tea.

The problem with anthologies that you might end up with just liking one and hating the others.  The first 2 heroines were strong and very inspirational.  The heroes not so much, except for story two.  The lessons were well written and easily conveyed.  However, I can't recommend this book.  There are better Christian novels out there and this wouldn't be worth your time and money.
